My journey began with a longing for the sweet, nostalgic flavors of South America. After a trip to Argentina, I realized just how much I had been missing the simple joy of biting into a perfectly crafted Mini Cake. That’s when I decided to recreate those cherished moments in my own kitchen—and Laurita Sweet Cakes was born.
What started as a personal passion soon turned into something bigger as I began sharing my creations with friends and family. Their excitement and love for these treats inspired me to bring a little taste of South America to New Zealand.

I was lucky enough to receive the most beautiful gift pack of sweet cakes for my 50th birthday from my sister and wee niece. These are so yummy and addictive. My Favorite is the chocolate with caramel and white chocolate with lemon cream cheese. They are packed so beautifully, and truly made with love. Thank you so much! Delivery Info
Pick up directly your products at Home Bakery Street or Shipping them at your home.
Shipping has a flat rate.
South Island $ 10 ($13 if your address is rural)
North Island $ 14 ($16 if your address is rural).
We do allow delivery to rural addresses :) We just ask that you take into consideration extra time for delivery when ordering - while rural delivery can happen overnight, it is not uncommon for it to take an extra few days as it is not an overnight service.
We use overnight courier to make sure your orders get to you on time and fresh.
Delivery is out of our hands, however we still take responsibility when your parcel takes an unreasonable amount of time to get to you. If your order takes 3+ days to get to you we will get in contact with regarding a replacement :)
NZ Post - you will receive the tracing link via email as soon as it's been collected for delivery.
Everything is baked fresh to order, so we and need some time to make your Sweet Cakes and delivered to you :)
Generally the cut off time to place an order is 5pm, two days prior to the delivery date (eg: if you wanted to order for Thursday, you must place the order before 5pm Tuesday).
Delivery dates can become fully booked, making them unavailable, so if you are needing your order for an occasion we recommend you order sooner rather than later to avoid missing out
We have different delivery dates for different areas of the country - this is because we work alongside courier schedules to offer the most reliable delivery options as we possibly can for you :)
We're based in Gore, Southland, so areas nearby our Home Bakery have more delivery dates available than areas across the country.
